Are you a Mompreneur?
The premise of this episode stems from a recent book I read called: Moms Mean Business: A Guide to Creating a Successful Company and Happy Life as a Mom Entrepreneur.
The book stood out to me, because….well….I’m a mom and I’m an entrepreneur. Once I started diving into the book, it was definitely bringing up some reminders for me.
What is your Big Why?
For the second time in as many weeks, I was being instructed to articulate my purpose or why for myself. Lucky for me, I had done this work several years ago. And here is my why:
Constantly evolve to support the growth in others.Dianna Rands
And you better believe this WHY supports both my persona and business areas of my life. So let me ask you….what is your Big Why?
Working towards your Goals
In order to reach the goals you set for yourself, you need to know the steps you need to take to get there. That’s where mapping out your objectives can really help.
In the very first episode of this podcast, I share the book, The 12 Week Year. At the bottom of the show notes page, you can download the tool I created to help you map out your 12 weeks.
Don’t forget this as a Mom!
We put everyone’s wellbeing ahead of our own all the time. So be sure you are giving yourself the gift of self-care. Don’t feel guilty about it either.
How is your productivity?
Be sure to give Episode 15: Let’s talk about Productivity. In Michale Hyatt’s book he suggests taking all the tasks you do for your business and plotting them in 1 of 4 quadrants based on criteria like your strengths and best use of your time.
And basically, any task you don’t like to do and is not optimal for you to spend your time working on…should get delegated to someone else.
Check out Rescue Time to track the time you spend on your computer. This can help you really know where you are spending your time when on the computer.
